Hello Cypress Families,
My name is Ernesto Calles, I am proud and blessed to start my second year as principal of Cypress Elementary. After several years working in other districts in different capacities, I am returning to my home district where I was a student and a teacher for many years.
On behalf of all of our staff at Cypress, we are looking forward to returning to a more normal school experience. Cypress teachers are more than ready to provide the much needed love and support for our students, who went through an entire year of getting used to in-person instruction. And, after a full year I am proud to say we are ready to help our students reach their full potential academically.
Parents, I will need your support as our students return to school, both academically and emotionally. This will be an amazing transition back to regular in-person instruction, and with your support, we are confident that we can have a positive impact and an academically successful year. Please be sure to sign up for one of many parent groups: ELAC, SSC, and AAPAC. These committees meet with me monthly and they help me utilize funds to ensure a fun and instructional school year.
